Newcastle Elementary Principal Announces Resignation

Marla Newton, principal of Newcastle Elementary School, which serves many communities in Newcastle, WA, announced her resignation last week. Ms Newton, who has served the Issaquah County School District for many years, has taken a new job in another district. Therefore, Issaquah County School Superintendent Ron Thiele has announced that he is starting a search for the next principal of the award-winning school. Anyone who wants to add their input into what characteristics the new principal should have can have their say through a survey run through the school district, found here, until June 9.
