Newcastle Real Estate Overview: July 2014

Newcastle, Washington has King County's tenth highest average listing price for homes for sale, right behind cities including Bellevue and Kirkland. The city, which was incorporated in 1994, currently has 62 listings, only 12 of which are new homes. New homes comprise 22% of the current residential real estate market. Voted one of CNN Money's most desirable places to live in the country in 2011, the city currently has a fairly balanced market, with 3.6 months of home supply. Currently there are 50 single family homes, five condos and seven parcels of land for sale in Newcastle. New homes in Newcastle skew slightly smaller but more expensive, with an average listing price of around $800k and a square footage of 3,030 square feet, or $264 per square foot.
