Renton Western Washington's ninth most active city for new homes in terms of total listings for sale and fifth in terms of total market value. There are 67 new homes across 19 communities for sale in Renton at this time, down from 78 new homes across 19 communities for sale in March 2014. New home prices in Renton have remained relatively similar over the past month. Communities with homes in the lower price range include Galloway at the Highlands, a community of townhomes with just one available listing, half as many as last month. Other neighborhoods with lower price point single family homes include Ashbrook, which has one available listing in the high $300s and Gem Sunset, a community with one available listing priced in the low $400s. On the other end of the pricing spectrum, Claremont, a community with homes priced $700K and above, has six active listings.
New single family new homes in Renton have an average listing price of $596,284 for a 3,137 square foot home, or $190 per square foot. Over the last six months, the actual sales price for new single family home has averaged $564,707 for a 2,911 square foot home, or $194 per square foot.
Many of Western Washington's home builders are actively building new homes in Renton. Available homes from DR Horton, Toll Brothers Camwest and Quadrant have decreased in the last month.

There are currently 2.6 months of residential housing supply in Renton, which indicates a seller's market. Last month, there was 2.3 months of supply. In March, 27% of the homes on the market in Renton were new homes, but in April, the market is composed of only 20% new homes.
