Top Three Home Builders in Western Washington

October 2, 2014

Western Washington is home to some of the country’s most reputable homebuilders, including DR Horton and Toll Brothers Camwest. As the Seattle metropolitan area grows, housing supply has continued to dwindle. These and other builders are working hard to fill the gap, building standalone homes and communities of all sizes for both larger and more modest budgets. This is a list of the top five most active homebuilders in Western Washington, as well as a few of the communities they are building.

DR Horton: With almost 150 homes for sale as of the writing of this article, and over 715 homes closed in the last year, DR Horton is the area’s biggest builder of new homes. Active in Auburn, Renton and Bothell, as well as other cities in the area, DR Horton builds primarily single family homes of various sizes. Communities include Cavalla in Renton, Brookfield Farms in Puyallup and Crossroads in Puyallup.

Toll Brothers Camwest: Part of national company Toll Brothers, this builder is active in Kirkland, Issaquah and Bothell, along with a few other cities. With 159 homes sold in the last year, as of the time of this writing, Toll Brothers Camwest builds single family homes and duplexes. Communities include Belvedere in Bellevue and Claremont in Renton.

Richmond American Homes: This builder currently has 81 homes for sale as of this writing and has sold 240 homes in the past 12 months. Communities include Tehaleh in Bonney Lake and the Bridges in Auburn.

Please note we do not represent the home builders mentioned above. Some communities may be joint projects with other home builders.
